Bio

Cami Voss (aka Cami MacDonald, Thistle Pistol, Rhonda LaFonda, or Cliff Claxton) is a piano-playin' singer and song writer in West Seattle, WA.  In addition to writing songs that just might charm your socks off, Cami has a knack for finding and delivering catchy, quirky tunes in her unique retro-country style. You can catch her playing at bars and restaurants around Seattle either solo or with one of her bands or many side projects.

From childhood Cami has enjoyed listening to good ol' iconic country music artists like Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Bob Wills, and Patsy Cline. She started taking piano lessons at age 10 and by age 15 was teaching music to kids in the tiny town of Acme WA where she grew up. She has always jumped at the chance to play any kind of music with anyone who loves it. Over the years she has played in rock and blues bands, country and gospel groups, jazz and swing ensembles, and has a B.A. in Classical piano performance. As the owner of West Side Music Academy, she's still thriving on sharing her musical experience and style with students of all ages everyday.

These days Cami is happily back to her roots, playing lots of the old timey country stuff, and a little bit of harmonious, whimsical pop with Mannequin BBQ. If you come and see her play, her infectious love for the music is sure to brighten your day. You can catch her every first Wednesday night of the month at Parliament Tavern in West Seattle, and on Sundays from 4-7pm co-hosting the open mic at The Little Red Hen in Greenlake.
